Adela Dalto blends sophisticated Latin, Brazilian, and American jazz in her Latin Jazz repertoire. Her performances, featuring original compositions, combine beautiful vocals with vibrant rhythms. With over 30 years as a Latin Jazz vocalist and songwriter, she’s praised as “sensuous and spellbinding.” Sister of the late pianist Jorge Dalto, Adela carved her path as a powerful R&B and jazz vocalist. She honed her craft in New York clubs, gaining fame through her brother’s InterAmerican Band. Dalto was a featured soloist on “Ease My Pain” from their 1985 album Urban Oasis. Starting as a backup singer for Celia Cruz, she later performed with Latin Jazz icons like Arturo O’Farrill and Mario Bauzá. Her recordings feature top artists like Chucho Valdez, David Sanchez, and Claudio Roditi. She has collaborated with Mario Bauzá, Lee Konitz, and Aloisio Aguiar on albums. Dalto has toured globally, performing in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Egypt.
