Genre: Jazz
Format: SACD ISO + DSF DSD64 + Hi-Res FLAC
Adela Dalto fuses Latin, Brazilian, and American jazz, creating a sophisticated Latin Jazz sound. Her repertoire, including original compositions, blends beautiful vocals with fiery rhythms. She fell in love with Horace Silver’s “Peace,” adding it to her setlist while working with a Latin-jazz group. Her rendition of “Peace,” possibly the definitive vocal version, features a tenor solo by Dick Oatts. Sister of the late pianist Jorge Dalto, Adela established herself as a powerful R&B and jazz vocalist. She refined her craft in New York clubs, rising to fame with her brother’s InterAmerican Band. Dalto was a featured soloist on “Ease My Pain” from their 1985 album Urban Oasis. Starting as a backup singer for Celia Cruz, she later performed with Latin Jazz legends like Arturo O’Farrill and Mario Bauzá. Her recordings include top musicians like Chucho Valdez, David Sanchez, and Claudio Roditi. She has toured globally with her group, performing in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Egypt.
