Charles Dutoit conducts the Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal for this recording of Saint-Saëns’ Third Symphony with organist Peter Hurford as well as Bizet’s Symphony in C featuring Ted Baskin on oboe. Recorded in 1982 & 1995 at Église de Saint-Eustache in Montréal, Quebec, Canada. This SACD was remastered with the 96kHz/24bit master, that was up-converted from the original 44.1kHz/16bit master with the high technology. The criterion of re-mastering is to faithfully capture the quality of the original master. ESOTERICs flag ship D/A converters, model D-01VU, Rubidium master clock generator model Grandioso G1 and ESOTERIC MEXCEL interconnect cables and power cords, were all used for this re-mastering session. This combination of highly advanced technology greatly contributed to capturing the high quality sound of the original master.
